The Joy of DLA Applications

One of these days the Department of Work and Pensions will cotton onto the fact that Ted’s autism actually isn’t going to go away and let me off filling in those ghastly forms every two or three years.

Don’t want to be a pain and ring up as I did send in a big thick booklet *whistles*

T’s came back last week, decision was continuation of his current award.

I submitted the application electronically, so I don’t know if that sped things up a bit. Hope you hear soom.

And thanks for the kind comments about the blog [resolves to post more often now it seems she actually has a reader.....]

Hey its Steph from asdf. I absolutely believe that, when they send information request forms to paeds or GPs, there should be an option to tick which says ‘This person has a life-long disability and their condition is highly unlikely to change dramatically in the next (fill in the blank number) of years.”

My friend has a son with cerebral palsey, can’t walk now, won’t walk tomorrow, and still has to fill in the form and concentrate on that fact every other year! Rediculous.

Truth is Steph, I was just having a little whinge because I hate filling out the forms so much, but I do see why the DWP need to ensure they have up to date information.
