Well whaddya know.

Hubby has phoned me at work again to tell me that the police have recovered the bikes. A local bobby was out on his beat last night around midnight and spotted a couple of kids riding around on them. He’s a cyclist himself apparantly and just knew that there was no legitimate way that two teenagers could be cruising around at midnight on flash touring bikes. So he chased them and got them both. My bike is apparantly absolutely fine but the frame of Mr. BK’s bike has been trashed :(

Mostly pleased that the culprits have been caught.Â

Well, it all got sorted amicably and I duly received delivery of:

Isn’t it lovely? At least it was. Hubby phoned me at work today to tell me that some thieving git seems to have vaulted over our wall, broken into the shed and helped himself to both our bikes! Police reckon its a pro-job and chances are that they’ll be back to collect the replacements paid for by the insurance as well!Â

Drowning in Dampness

In keeping with the mood created by the soggy, wet November weather we get in The Wool Basket we have finally started toilet training T. Our resolve is sure. Our motto is “No turning back!” Our washing machine is thinking of submitting a complaint to an Industrial Tribunal under the terms of the European Working Time Directive.
