Fun comes in 40 minute packages

Hubby and I love to watch movies after the kids have gone to bed. In fact I think the DVD is the most significant invention of the past 20 years in this household (oh, alright apart from the Internet).

Trouble is, our autistic son doesn’t seem to appreciate that to enable us to watch a film and not stay up half the night, he needs to be asleep before 9pm.

Fat chance!

So, we have recently started to work our way through Buffy the Vampire Slayer again. Sometimes we only watch one episode, but on a good night we can get through three.

We’ve not seen Season 7 yet (getting the DVD v. soon though) but here are my 5 favorite episodes from Seasons 1-6:

-The Puppet Show (cos of seeing Buffy, Willow and Xander suffer so hilariously at the school talent show)
-Halloween (Xander the action man and Giles’ dark past)
-Band Candy (Giles and Joyce!!!!!!)
-Dopplegangland (bored now…)
-Once More, With Feeling (what’s not to love?)

Replacing the vinyl collection takes time…

…but is much aided by HMV’s fab 2 CDs for £10 offer.

So yesterday I treated myself to:

Supertramp - Breakfast in America
Tom Waits - Swordfish Trombones
Neil Young - Harvest
The best of Treasure Isle, a record label collection of Reggae, Ska and Rocksteady classics (purchased mainly because it included the original version of Angel in the Morning by Joya Landis, but full of plenty of other good stuff as well).

Magic :)
